English

First-hand notes from a three-node Proxmox cluster, a Cisco Modeling Labs setup, and a self-hosted observability stack — written by the engineer who actually runs them.

This is the English section of ちらりんブログ (Chillarin Blog), a personal site that is otherwise written in Japanese.

Everything published here comes out of infrastructure I actually operate at home: a three-node Proxmox cluster, Cisco Modeling Labs running as a guest on it, a Grafana / Prometheus / Loki observability stack, Cloudflare Tunnel for ingress, and a set of AI agents that handle the operational chores around all of it.

The reason this section exists is simple. Most English-language writing about self-hosting falls into two buckets: vendor documentation that describes the happy path, and roundup articles written by people who never ran the thing. What is missing is the middle — what actually broke, what it actually cost, and what the documentation left out. That is the only thing published here.

Every number, screenshot, and configuration snippet comes from a running system. Where something is unverified or reproduced from someone else’s report, it is labelled as such in the article.
